Likes: Serenity is a huge advocate on nature, mostly focusing on water. She loves the water, it literally is her birthplace. Serenity likes inventing things to help her tribe's life become easier. She is in love with way of life the 'Pale Faces' have. Serenity is an avid learner, she loves figuring out how things work, or how to make things more efficient. Dislikes: Serenity doesn't have much to hate after living on an unmodernized island all of her life. She doesn't like how she has to become a healer. She hates how men have all the good tasks in their tribe. She hates watching people hunt in the ocean, but will openly eat seafood for the energy. One thing she can't stand are people with major superiority complexes.
Dream: In an old tribal story, there was a girl who became the defender of the sea to protect her people from intruders. She kept the balance between the newly present civilization, allowing a peace between the different races. Serenity wants to become that guardian of the ocean. Even if it is a myth.

Personality: Serenity is different from the other tribe members. Allowing themselves to be subjected to the customs and traditions on their ancestors. Serenity tries her best to break free of these practices. She openly shows her adoration with the Pale Faces, by learning their language, and establishing a trade system along with some other members of the tribe during their time of failed harvest. Serenity is a bright girl. She could easily build a hut if asked, or some other invention, but when asked to solve a complicated equation, she could try her hand at solving it and wouldn't give up until she got the correct answer, regardless of how long it takes. Serenity is constantly coming up with ideas. While headstrong and stubborn, she can be extremely loyal and defensive. She will not stand for someone belitting her, or someone she cares about. Serenity enjoys her solitude, but does like to talk to people. She can be annoying from time to time. She is extremely dedicated, and sometimes becomes blind to everything around her except whatever she is doing. Once she attends Alfea, her personality develops a bit more, while still retaining the personality she has had since she was little, she becomes in love with the city scene. Partying, and going out become her new thing. It gives her a great rush of happiness to be out in the city, she can't explain the feeling, but she adores it so much.

History: First born to the Tribal Chief and Master Healer union, she was expected to take after her father, despite her sex, she was the first born. However, until she can prove she will be a great leader, she must be a healer because she is a woman. The day after she was born, she was given the tattoo on her forehead for being the daughter of the chief. Ever since she was born, she was betrothed to Kale, the first son of her father's best friend. The engagement was finalized when Serenity had his family's tribal mark tattooed between her shoulder blades at her first birthday.
When she was three, her mother had her second daughter, Leilani. Serenity felt like she was shunned because of the birth of the baby. She began to go everywhere with her father, growing closer to him than her mother. She never really bonded with Leilani, always finding excuses not to be around her.
During one of her explorations when she was seven years old, she stumbled upon an isolated hut. Inside was an older, wise woman who Serenity befriended, and considered her grandmother. The woman's name was Kaia. She was the one who brought light to Serenity's passion for fairytales, and myths. She was also the woman who inspired Serenity to rebel against her parents, and try and refine her Magic Ability.
Serenity's mother finally had a son with when Serenity was eight years old. He was named Bane. Serenity found herself never really even being around her family around that time. She was constantly out and about once she got to the age where she could go out without a parent. During this time she developed her love for inventing. She drew concepts on paper she persuaded the traders to bring for her in exchange for some exotic flowers to use in their perfumes.
At the age of ten, Serenity was tattooed again. Given the upper shoulder wrap tattoo for starting her apprenticeship with the other healers. At this tattoo ceremony, she was given five tattoos. The one for the apprenticeship, but also the elemental tattoos. She was given water on the top of her left hand. The fire marking was placed on the back of her neck. Air was put on her chest, where her heart is. The last one, Earth, was placed on the bottom of her foot. The reason behind the placement is because she showed a passion for the water at such a young age, meaning it took dominance over her life so it was placed on her hand. Fire was tattooed on the back of her neck due to her feisty personality, but she learned to control it. (Her hair covers her neck, so she is concealing that part of her character basically.). Air is on her heart, because the elders (Those who make the decisions for their customs.) had chosen it as her spiritual element, despite how connected she was to water, she was seen as a very flighty girl, a girl who goes where ever life took her. Earth was put on the bottom of the foot, because it the farthest element from her personality.
Serenity's paternal aunt and uncle were killed in a hurricane when Serenity was eleven years old. Thus starting the right arm spiral tattoo, only added on to when family members die. Her cousins were taken in by her parents, and were labeled a Risus. Her mother gave birth to her last kid, a girl named Nakine. After Nakine's birth, everyone in the family was given dots under their eyes with the same amount of family members, which was eight.
Serenity frequently became MIA once she became twelve. She actually had no idea her mother was pregnant with Nakine because of how often she was gone. She would disappear for weeks at a time. Serenity was just at Kaia's home. Serenity loved listening to her, and Kaia openly allowed Serenity to do experiments and tinker with different things in her house because the tribe members frowned upon it and claimed she was brainwashed by the Pale Faces.
Serenity revealed to her father where she was always going, and it was revealed to her that Kaia was an ex-tribal member who betrayed all the customs, including letting a man get away with murder. Serenity felt uneasy, and thought her father was lying. Serenity went to Kaia's home the same day, and asked her about it.
Kaia told Serenity her story. Her sad, sad love story. When Kaia was sixteen, she fell in love with a trader from the city. She loved him with every fiber of her being. However, she was engaged. She didn't love her chosen mate, Keahi,  at all. Kaia said he would beat her if he didn't know where she was, or if she was late coming home. She lived with Keahi because her parents were taken by the sea. However, when she first met the trader by the name of Ailen. Their love was passionate, but dangerous. Their love affair was sweet, and innocent at first, but after a short amount of time, Ailen took her to his home in the city. They married the next day, and consummated the marriage by making love the same day. She returned to her island home to gather her personal items, so she could run away with Ailen. However, upon seeing the wedding ring on her finger, Keahi attacked her, threatening to kill her for her disobedience, and blatant disregard for their engagement. Ailen heard her screams, and became her hero. Ailen and Keahi fought, and Ailen stabbed Keahi, ending his life. She fled from her island with Ailen. They lived as far away from the sea as possible. Their life was like a fairytale, but it was short-lived. After her third child turned five, Ailen, as well as her children, were murdered while Kaia was going to see Ailen's mother in the hospital, and Ailen offered to stay home because they didn't want their kids to see their grandmother in such a traumatic state. Kaia returned to her island home for the last decades of her life. The tribe took her back, but with the condition she lives away from them. Then, at the end, Kaia informed Serenity that Keahi was Serenity's uncle. Which explained to Serenity why he had so much hate for Kaia.
After learning of Kaia's history, Serenity was even more inspired to follow her own path. She opened her whole self to Kaia now. She allowed Kaia in, and Kaia allowed Serenity in. Serenity considered Kaia her mentor now that Kaia was teaching her how to make her magic rebel during the ceremony where they strip your magic, and convert it to healing.  Which Serenity performed, but it happened when she was fifteen.
She became a full fledged woman at the age of fourteen. She had already gone through her growth spurt, but she quickly went through another one that added five inches to her, making her final height 6'1.5" At that time, it was decided she was to bare seven children with Kale. It was also chosen that her wedding would take place on her eighteenth birthday. Her whole right leg had a spiral that wrapped around nine times showing how many members of her future family she will have. Dots will be tattooed between the spaces after the birth of each child.
During the magic stripping, and conversion ceremony, her body fully rejected the switch. One of the elders reasoned the Gods had other plans in store for Serenity. Kaia was present at the ceremony, as it was required by all the members. Kaia was the one who voiced the option to send Serenity to a school where she could strengthen her magical abilities. The elders agreed with Kaia. Kaia offered to send in the application, as well as handle any monetary fees should they come up. Serenity accepted the option with ease.


Trivia:
- Serenity was born in the ocean. As water birthing is a fairly common tradition.

- Her tribe is called the Rindinorin Tribe. The island she lives on is called Rindinorin Island, respectively.

- Tribal tattoos are part of their customs. Each tattoo has a meaning. All members have the four elements on different locations through their bodies. The tattoos are not put on through needle and ink, they are done through rituals and coloring depending on the father's role. The colors stain the skin, and through re-application it becomes permanant.

- Serenity loses her tattoos in transformation. She isn't sure why, and can't explain it when someone asks.

- Serenity is currently engaged to Kale, a gifted hunter. However, she was arranged to marry him because he had such strong, gifted genes.

- While being naturally right handed, she was whipped every time she showed it's dominance because they believe right-handed people are evil, and dark because the left hand has a vein directly connected to the heart.

- Serenity likes to sneak off and go to the city, just to watch the people.

- The Rindinorin women learned how to transform their magical energy into healing powers, regardless of what their actual power would have been.

- Only a short percent of women have enough magic to be able to transform. However, in the history of their people, no one has tried to refine their power. Serenity is the first to go to Alfea.

- Despite the peace treaty, hunters do come here in search of the resources, and will kill someone for it. If such act is performed, legally the Rindinorins can punish the person with whatever they feel fit. Usually if they kill a man, they are giving a scar on their face and they receive a tattoo of an eye on their hand which everyone knows means they are a murderer. However, if someone kills another woman, they are killed themselves.

- Her hair is never shiny. It never has much volume or anything after constant exposure to the saltwater.

- Men become the owners of their wife once married, or engaged. However, most men do not abuse this privilege.

- Height is a very good quality to have, at least in the mind of the tribe. The taller you are, the closer you are to the Gods. Through process of evolution, they have become extremely tall. The shortest height to be recorded is 5'7". The tallest is 7'10".

Abilities and Transformations

General: As the fairy of the sea, Serenity has the whole ocean at her fingertips. While still a newfound fairy, she is not strong enough to manipulate the sea. Her spells often have to do with water. Serenity's power doesn't influence her life too much, the only influence she can see is her swimming ability, and how sea creatures have a natural bond to her. Serenity's abilities gradually grow stronger with proper training.
With each level of being a fairy that she unlocks, her dominance over the see becomes stronger. Serenity has the ability to breath underwater once she earns the Magic Winx transformation, however, it is only active in the transformation. Once she earns Enchantix, she earns the ability to use it regardless if she is in transformation state.
Once becoming an Enchantix fairy, she has the ability to communicate with and control marine life. It is a fairly useless ability as it only works while in water, or near it. Like if a dolphin comes up to her while she is on the beach, it could work. However, the ability to control marine life is useless out of water as well.
A side effect of her power growing is she grows nauseous in seafood restaurants, or zoos. She dreads going to them when her friends and herself go for a break from school.

She admits that if she could go back, she would live her family life differently. This comment is sparked when in a letter it informs her that her younger sister died from an illness the healers couldn't fix.

Enchantix: Serenity's Enchantix
Earned By: Serenity achieves Enchantix level through defending her home. A business man who owns chains of resorts wanted to destroy her home island and relocate her tribe to put a resort. Serenity fights against the threat they placed on her island. However, she doesn't earn her Enchantix through that. She learns during the fight that Luka, her secret lover, is the son of the business man. Fighting against Luka's father caused her to lose Luka, but in return, she rescues her tribe from the threat, thus earning her Enchantix for suffering the loss of her lover to save her people.

Earned By: The Winged Faith Fairies become Believix fairies through making the civilians of Valeua trust magic again. As, during Alessiania's quest, she murdered the queen of Valeua, and brainwashed the king to ban the use of magic so the chances of one of the people of Valeua being a chosen one become smaller.
